1º ESO-PREE: Performance of "Life is not a Drama"

Last Thursday, 21st February, at 19:00 in the Salón de Actos of our High School, students of 1º ESO - PREE performed the play especially written for them; "Life is not a Drama".
Here are a couple of videos about their performance.

The play was one of the Workshop Projects of the course suggested by them. Some of the projects of the previous term and the songs they had been learning along the year were taken into account.



The team projects worked in the first term were Personal  information, and My Classroom.
In the second term they worked on My Favourite  Animal, and the book "The Borrowers".

1º ESO -PREE Workshop Projects

In 1º ESO in IES Julio Caro Baroja BHI, pair work and group work are ultimate.
The students love working on Workshop Projects in teams. Sometimes the projects come from the book; on other occasions it is the students who propose the new projects (as it was with My Classroom pictures or the Drama Project). Music helps a lot to fix structures, vocabulary and phrases.
Oral English is easier and funnier for them. After carrying out the projects, presenting them to their classmates is exciting.

PREE-1º ESO: An exciting course

In IES Julio Caro Baroja BHI we have very different  projects. One of them  is PREE, a especial course to support those students who need it to catch up with their studies/mates.

They have normal clasess, true, but they also have a lot of projects in the English classes to support Speaking.

 In the current  project we first take pictures of the situation, then we make a poster, later we create the text and finally the students present their project orally and record it.
