To Karmele Huarte

To  Karmele Huarte
English Teacher at Julio Caro Baroja High School.
A woman who loved her job.
On her retiring day from her friends and colleagues

Dearest Karmele,
We have shared a lot of moments together. We have worked with enthusiasm and   illusion, together. We have dreamt about doing things better, together, and we have tried it. We have enjoyed life with our pupils and suffered from and for them, also together. And, together, we have learnt how to live life and be a bit wiser.
And in such a short time, we have done something special:
“Leave a part of ourselves to the others, so that, when you are away, you won’t go alone and can feel us by your side”
We will never forget you.

Save the Planet (a T-COM Project)

T-COM students have been working on a project in which they have followed several steps. First, they have learnt the Earth is in danger. They have learnt about Global Warming, the Green House Effect and the Ecological Footprint. Second, being aware of the problems we have and investigating how the different Biomes and Earth are suffering, they have looked for information focused on the following aspects: Location of their biome, climate, animals, plants and problems. Third, in pairs they have made a poster including the information they have gathered previously and finally, they have made an oral presentation for the rest of the class. Some of their oral presentations were recorded and you can have a look at them.

It has been a satisfactory task and students have not only learnt while elaborating, but also enjoyed it.

Funny School Times -2, A new play for Drama Workshop students

Drama Workshop in 1º ESO-1 goes on working hard. We have seen them on the school bus going to class...

and we have also seen them in an incident out of school. We don't exactly know what has happened.  It seems that a couple of gangsters... Fortunately the Ertzaintza arrived on time.

After Funny School Times -1, the students felt a bit bored in class and decided to change things and live more intensively at school. First, they imagined a "free trip" by train,

then they gave birth to
an urban legend on the stage...

But that's only the beginning.

Soon, next Thursday 16th, at 19:00 p.m. in the Salon de Actos, they will be performing the Musical
FUNNY SCHOOL TIMES -2, full with stories and songs.
Families and friends are invited.
  Don't miss it!
They are looking forward to that date to perform...

And now, what?

When things go their own way and their way is right, sometimes they get to perfection. Not because they are perfect but because they have been done as they should.

Our American friends gave us a lesson of hospitality in Scituate. They opened their houses and hearts to us. We felt happy and fullfilled all our expectations and even more. It became a trip never to forget in our lives.

Now they have been here. We have done our best and expect them to feel  as we felt.
It's sad to say goodbye, but we know that, wherever they are, they will remember us, as we do. And they know that, whenever they think of us, we'll be thinking of them at the same time.

The bard already said: "All's well that ends well". And we add: "Good work done together well deserves a happy end".
In the following video we can see the Welcome and Farewell Party activities
